DeSlop License

This End-User License ("License") sets out your rights to use the DeSlop browser extension. It’s part of the DeSlop Terms of Service, so read the two together.

Grant of license

As long as you follow this License and the Terms of Service, Pineido grants you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use DeSlop on browsers and devices you own or control, so you can filter your own feed for yourself.

Free in full, with optional support

  • Every DeSlop feature is licensed to you free of charge, with no time limit and nothing held back.
  • A voluntary one-time contribution of $4.99 (USD) supports the project. It does not add, unlock, or license any feature, because all features are already free to everyone.
  • A contribution gives you a personal "supporter key" whose only effect is to hide the occasional "support us" reminder. You can save it on a limited number of your own devices, as shown when you contribute.
  • Our payment provider handles the contribution and our own server validates the supporter key. The key is personal to you and can’t be transferred.

What you may do

  • Install and use DeSlop on your own devices for personal use.
  • Turn it on or off, tune it, and uninstall it whenever you want.
  • Recommend it to other people, who get their own copy from the official listing.

What you may not do

  • Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise commercially redistribute DeSlop or a supporter key.
  • Repackage, rebrand, or redistribute DeSlop (modified or not) as your own product or under another name.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the extension except to the limited extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction, and never to build a competing product.
  • Circumvent license validation, or use DeSlop to provide a paid service to third parties.
  • Represent DeSlop’s heuristic output as certified, definitive, or official AI detection.

Ownership

DeSlop, including its code, models, signal definitions, name, and design, is and stays the property of Pineido and its licensors. This License gives you the right to use it and nothing more. It doesn’t transfer any ownership or intellectual-property rights, and every right it doesn’t expressly grant is reserved.

Third-party and open-source components

DeSlop may include third-party or open-source components that come under their own licenses. Those licenses govern how you use those components, and where required they ship with the product. Nothing in this License cuts down any right you have under those separate licenses.

Privacy

DeSlop runs on your device. It doesn’t collect, transmit, store, or sell your LinkedIn posts, messages, connections, or activity. The only network request it might make is to validate an optional supporter key, and only if you have one. Your settings, allow-list, and supporter status stay in your browser.

No warranty and limitation of liability

DeSlop is provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind, and Pineido’s liability is limited, all as set out in the DeSlop Terms of Service, which apply to this License too. The AI-generation estimates are rough and can be wrong, and nothing here guarantees they’re accurate.

Termination

This License applies until it ends. It ends automatically if you breach it. Once it ends, you have to stop using DeSlop and remove it. The parts about ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and restrictions stay in force after it ends.
